This agreement helps me provide the best standards of service and care for you and your cat.
PRICING
Pricing is tier-based by cadence:
Tier 1 — $200 per cat — within 5 weeks of last visit
Tier 2 — $230 per cat — 1 to 3 months between visits
Tier 3 — $250 per cat — more than 3 months between visits
Multi-cat households (2+ cats per appointment) get 10% off each cat's tier rate. Short-haired breeds and no-shave grooms run $20 below.
Coat condition may push a price above the tier rate — to exceed $300, matting would have to be very bad. I'll be fair and always tell you why I move above or below.
LIMITED AVAILABILITY AND EXCLUSIVITY
I'm often fully booked; my book sometimes closes. My goal is to serve clients who do the right thing by their cat — I'll give you guidance on what 'good' frequency looks like for yours.
New clients who don't book within 3 months are deregistered and must rejoin via the waitlist. Clients not seen for more than 9 months will also need to reregister. Once-a-year visits make it harder for regulars to rebook.
HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE
Cats are only groomed if fit and healthy. Grooming an elderly or matted cat is at the owner's risk and may expose pre-existing health/skin conditions, for which Purrf Cat Grooming cannot be held liable.
In an emergency, in your absence, you authorise Purrf Cat Grooming to contact a Veterinarian and authorise treatment at your expense.
RESCHEDULES/CANCELLATIONS
My booking system sends a reminder 3 days before your appointment. ALL CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULES WITHIN 48 HOURS WILL INCUR A $55 FEE WITHOUT FAVOUR OR EXCEPTION.
'No shows' or high-frequency rescheduling may affect my ability to provide ongoing services.
This protects access for everyone — most of the time, it works in your favour.
PELT AND BAD MAT REMOVAL
I'll only perform a pelt and bad mat removal service once — on your first booking, if it's safe.
It's slow, technical work and a big ask of any cat. I won't enable outcomes against a cat's welfare, but I don't judge: bad matting can occur even when owners do the right thing. You're doing the right thing to seek help; my goal is preventing it from getting bad again.
PRICING REVIEWS
I review prices annually, typically in line with CPI and inflation. Periodically I restructure more substantially (most recently 1 June 2026's move to tiers). I'll always communicate such changes in advance.
TRANSPARENCY
Multiple cats in my salon at the same time are always kept safe, comfortable and separated. This keeps them calmer through rest periods and passive grooming.
I work with another groomer most days. This agreement may be updated in future.
