This agreement allows for me to provide you and your cat with the best standards of service and care possible.
PRICING DISCRETION
I have a flexible price policy that I will always carefully and appropriatly apply, however in most instances I will charge between $142 - $220 (includes GST) for the salon service. Variables including coat length and condition, dander, breed etc may require me to adjust my final price. Please trust that I will be fair and note that it would be rare for me to charge by more than $50. My 'standard rate' is $172.
LIMITED AVAILABILITY AND EXCLUSIVITY
I am often fully booked there are times when my book is closed.

My goal is to provide the best service to clients who do the right thing by their cat. I take care to recommend 'goldilocks' frequency... neither too frequent or overdue.

Clients who are newly registered (this excludes those on the waitlist) who don't make an appointment within the first 3 months of registering will be deregistered and will need to register again and take their place in the queue of the waitlist.
Clients who don't come in for a minimum of two completed services each year will also be deregistered as 'once a year' clients place pressure on my availability and make it harder for existing regulars to rebook. Of course, as a customer who sees me for the first time, it is your choice if you choose to see me again on a regular basis after our first appointment.
HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE
Cats are only groomed only under the following circumstances:

The cat is fit and healthy. Grooming which takes place on an elderly or matted pet will be at the owner's risk. Grooming may expose pre-existing health\skin conditions for which Purrf Cat Grooming cannot be held liable.

In the event of an emergency, in your absence, you authorize Purrf Cat Grooming to contact the nearest Veterinarian and authorize the Vet to treat the pet as necessary at your expense.
RESCHEDULES/CANCELATIONS ​
My booking system sends you a reminder 3 days before your scheduled appointment. ALL CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULES MADE WITHIN 48 HOURS OF YOUR APPOINTMENT WILL INCUR A $55 FEE WITHOUT FAVOUR OR EXCEPTION. This is an act of self-care on my part.

'No shows' may result in my ability to provide ongoing services. This is an act of self-care on my part too.

High frequency rescheduling over time may lead to my inability to provide ongoing services. This is definately an act of self-care.

This fairly strict policy is necessary to ensure I am able to serve as many of my valued clients in as timely manner as possible and is not intended to cause offence. To the vast majority of you, most of the time, this policy works to your advantage.
PELT AND BAD MAT REMOVAL
I will only perform a pelt and bad removal service once:

If it is safe to do so and
If it is your first booking with me

Pelt removal shaving is slow, technically challenging and is a big ask of any cat. When the service has been performed there are many things we can do to prevent it from recurring. This rule exists because I do not want to enable outcomes that are not in the best interest of a cat's welfare. That said I understand there are many reasons very bad matting can occur when owners are doing the right thing. I do not judge, afterall, you are doing the right thing to seek help. Preventing the problem from getting uncomfortably bad again is my goal.
ANNUAL PRICE ADJUSTMENTS
Each September I will adjust my prices in accordance with CPI and inflation.

TRANSPARENCY
First time grooming services are performed with you and your cat without anyone else present. For ongoing grooming I perform up to 6 grooms a day with 3 separate start times.
While there are often 2 cats in my salon at the same time they are always kept safe, comfortable and separated. This method of grooming allows me to keep cats calmer and more relaxed once they become comfortable with the grooming experience by incorporating more rest periods and passive grooming techniques.
This service agreement may be updated in the future.
